Are you looking to become part of a globally recognized investment bank with a highly dedicated and collaborative culture? Investec is strengthening its M&A team in the Netherlands and is currently seeking to hire an Associate.
About our Benelux team
Our 22-person team in Benelux – based in Amsterdam and ‘s-Hertogenbosch – delivers unbiased advice to mid-market companies with deal sizes of €25–250m. We help them grow, raise finance, and sell their businesses globally, drawing on Investec’s deep sector expertise and global transaction execution capabilities.
Your Role
In close collaboration with corporate leaders, you will be supporting and driving intellectually challenging projects, working closely with interdisciplinary teams across international offices.
You will have the opportunity to work on successions, divestments, mergers, shareholder buyouts, and international acquisitions, among other engagements.
In short, you will:
- Support and/or lead the execution of M&A transactions (sell-side and buy-side)
- Conduct market analysis, company valuations, and financial modelling
- Prepare client presentations, pitch material, and investment documentation
- Build and maintain direct relationships with clients, advisors, and other stakeholders
- Collaborate with sector and product experts in a global setting
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with 2-4 years of experience within M&A advisory, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance at a reputable firm.
In addition:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Dutch and English. This is a hard requirement due to client-facing work
- Master’s degree in finance, strategic management, or a related field
- Strong analytical mindset and financial modelling capabilities
- Structured, pragmatic, and commercially minded
- Ability to maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders
- High level of personal drive, accountability, and collaborative energy
