Investec has advised the founder of Les Joyeux Recycleurs, a leading provider of turnkey recycling services for office waste in the Île-de-France region, on the sale of the company to Axio Capital

Founded in 2013 by Gilles Rouverand, Les Joyeux Recycleurs is a leading digital-native turnkey recycling services provider for office waste. The company is a market leader in the Île-de-France region, offering turnkey solutions for small and mid-sized business sites.
Les Joyeux Recycleurs operates a robust and predictable business model, based on a recurring monthly subscription system combined with strong net customer retention. Thanks to its digital-native approach, it has developed a highly efficient digital platform to manage all operations from sales, collection, invoicing, cash collection and client waste reporting. With more than 2,000 active clients, the company relies on a structured organization and operates its own fleet of trucks, enabling the regular collection of over 12,000 recycling boxes already installed. It handles more than 16 different waste streams with an offer adapted to each client. The company stands out for its strong ESG positioning, with most employees coming from professional integration programs and 100% end-to-end recycling of waste.
After founding and scaling the business, Gilles Rouverand sold a majority stake to Axio Capital, which invested alongside Deputy CEO Leïla Sabourin and two key managers. In the medium term, Les Joyeux Recycleurs aims to double its volume in the Île-de-France region while replicating its model in three to five major French cities over the coming years, leveraging its technology platform and a proven operational model designed to be deployed with limited implementation costs.

Investec supported Les Joyeux Recycleurs’ shareholder throughout the entire process:
